To care and clean your accessories, put a little baking soda in a small cup of water. Soak your accessories for a few minutes and rub them if needed. Do not use toothbrush as this will scratch the plated surface.

If baking soda is not available, you can use toothpaste or dishwashing detergent.

After cleaning, wipe with soft cloth and let it air dry. After making sure your accessories are already dry, keep them in an airtight container.

We suggest to clean your accessories every now and then especially if you are to store them for a period of time.

You can also use isopropyl alcohol to disinfect your accessories but do this sparingly to ensure plating will last longer.

You can also wear your accessories while taking a bath or taking a swim. Though they are safe to get wet and the plating won't easily fade, plating will also last longer if we do this sparingly.

Does the accessories tarnish?
While the accessories are plated, they will not tarnish. But when the plating has worn off, they will tarnish.

If you notice a green or black discoloration while wearing the accessories, this is a normal reaction from :

  • Copper causing a greenish oxide due to the exposure from salts in the environment or sweat.
  • 925 Silver causing a black discoloration due to exposure from air and salts. Tarnish from 925 Silver can be cleaned to restore it to its natural sheen.
  • Sterling Silver, which has copper that is part of its metal alloy, causing a greenish oxide due to the exposure from salts in the environment or sweat.

Stainless Steel does not tarnish but if it's gold plated, plating will wear off over time.

How long before the plating wears off?
This will depend on the care of the customer, especially if you are planning to wear this everyday. From our customer feedbacks, the earliest was 8 months and the longest was 16 years.
